The Tramonto Residence is nestled into a unique site, surrounded by the Santa Monica mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The home's materials reflect the warmth of the natural environment, while the assemblage of furnishings and art respond to a desire for a global influence. The belief in craft was a guiding principle of the design - each element in the home was meant to feel hand-hewn rather than factory-made.
Hovering over a reflecting pool, the statement stair is sculpted from solid mahogany treads and echoed in the Sean Scully painting.
Richly layered furniture pieces create a symphony of influences and design, speaking to the precision of our style we refer to as "Global Modernism."
